this is my first guitar and it is great, it comes with 6 picks, an amp (with a drive button on it) a tuner, a guitar strap, a cable to connect the amp and the guitar (of course) and a DVD, it is just a great guitar, and it looks really cool, if u are looking for a great guitar for a cheap price buy this one

Normally I wouldn't buy a guitar without holding it first but this was just a starter guitar for my son and it was hard to beat the price, so I took a chance. It shipped quickly and I was surprised at how well constructed it is. The action is great and there are no buzzing frets. This is a much better instrument than the cheapo guitars I was looking at in the department stores. The accessory pack (case, picks, strap, tuner, cord, DVD) is great too. The amp is adequate, nothing spectacular but it will serve its purpose.

If you're a professional musician, this is probably not the instrument for you but if you're just starting to play or you play recreationally, then you can't go wrong with this guitar package. In fact, I've been playing on and off for 30 years and find myself reaching for this guitar instead of mine after my son goes to sleep.

Shipping - They shipped the guitar package to me the next day, and in addition, they used UPS "Quantum" so that I got automatic email updates with the status of the shipment.

Packaging - The guitar and amp were each packaged separately in brown boxes. The boxes did have the words "guitar" and "amplifier" so if they are meant to be gifts, use caution. There was no excessive amount of cushioning, but the packaging was well engineered and meticulous and everything arrived in excellent condition.

Quality - As a beginner, I have no specific knowledge about what makes a guitar a high-quality guitar. But as a consumer, I can tell you that the general fit, finish and construction is excellent. To my eye, everything seems very well made (see tuner note below). Considering the price of this kit, I am really impressed.

Tuner - The included electronic tuner impressed me at first. It seemed like something that could easily sell for $20-30 on its own and it looked well made. Unfortunately is stopped working after a few days. When I notified Rondo Music, they immediately offered to ship me another free of charge with no questions asked. The new one arrived after about a week and so far it is working well. The great service from Rondo more than made up for the disappointment of the broken tuner.

If I do end up sticking with this hobby, I will definately look at Rondo first for future purchases.

I just ordered this guitar as my first electric guitar. Its really nice and its a good buy for a guitar. I mean, guitars aren't the cheapest. So for $120 its really nice. It sounds great with an amp or simply plain. I love the color, but that is just a side note. and it sounds really nice

I love guitars and own 3 Taylor Acoustics and one Fender American Standard Stratocaster. Now my American Standard Strat is a guitar I would never part with. I picked it up over 20 years ago and it's the only guitar I have not traded or sold. So just yesterday...Guitar Center was having a Grand Opening sale in my neck of the woods and advertised this Fender Squier Stratocaster Bullet for $89.95. In my mind I'm thinking I would never waste my money on a "cheap" guitar but when I saw a sunburst one sitting on a guitar stand I picked it up and found it to be a pretty solid instrument! What caught my eye was how beautiful the finish was and I've always wanted a sunburst in a strat but was not willing to shell out over a grand for one just yet. Now having seen this "cheap" Strat sitting there I was intrigued! Now on a grand opening evening at the Guitar Center these babies went quickly and of course they ran out of the sunburst pretty quickly but there was this "display" one. Now I made the mistake of setting it back down on the stand for a moment and lo and behold someone else snatched it up so I pretty much resigned myself to not picking one up that evening.....Of course I could have grabbed a PINK one...they had plenty of those in boxes but pink doesn't really do anything for me..The next day though I decided to get one of my acoustics tuned up and restrung since they were offering these services free for the grand opening and while I was there waiting for my guitar I saw the sunburst Strat hanging on the wall...YES the bullet for $89.95 and it was beckoning me! I quickly sauntered over there and pulled it off the wall and asked a salesperson if I could "plug it" in! After spending a few moments jamming on it I came to the quick conclusion that this was a fantastic deal for $89.95!! So it wasn't an American Standard....so the materials weren't top grade...but it looked fantastic and played fantastic! So I dropped all my "elitist" meanderings and decided to plunk down my "eating out" money for this beautiful gem! Well after having spent many hours with it today and reading some of the reviews on amazon about it I decided to offer my thoughts and I hope this helps any of you who may be interested in this guitar! Now I could well afford the "real deal" but you know what? THis guitar is a bonafide bargain! And not only that...it looks great & plays great! So drop all your snobbiness guitar people and pick one of these up as a GIFT for a friend and just an extra guitar to have around...for the money it's a steal! Take it from me...a guy who has been buying and selling guitars for years and a regular at Guitar Center and any mom & pop guitar shop in the Houston area...In these tough economic times it's about getting the best BANG for your buck! With that said....this guitar is very pleasant to the eye...doesn't look or feel cheap...plays well and is just $100!! So if you're on a budget BUY it..if you're not BUY it!! Either way you're getting a bargain!

I have been playing guitar for about 6 years and I really bought this as just a little "beater" guitar to mess around with because it was so cheap. What I actually got was a guitar that looked, felt, and sounded better than any guitar I currently have! I was so pleasantly surprised! I couldn't recommend this guitar enough!!!

I wish to start by noting that I am a learner; I have no experience with guitars so every observation I make is someone who has used the guitar a few days and based on my personal amateur experience.

For a hundred dollars I didn't expect much out of a guitar but bought a Dean XM based on the very favorable reviews for it and its close cousin the XMT. I figured that if it breaks in a year or has some annoying characteristics I could chalk it up to me buying a cheap guitar to learn on and eventually buy a "real" guitar from a local shop, so I didn't get my hopes too high.

At this point I have to say I need not worry about either of those scenarios as the guitar seems to be well-made and well-designed. What I mean by that is that the construction is sound with nothing loose, wobbly, overly flexible, or "cheap" feeling. By design I mean the layout has nothing to complain about - it seems to be laid out along the same lines as other guitars with nothing annoying as a result of the cost cutting necessary for an entry level musical instrument.

As I started to play it in Rocksmith I was expecting the flaws to show up somewhere. Maybe it wouldn't tune right, or the pickups would sound off, or hell maybe not even work at all. A few moments of tuning and there have been zero problems since. As a rank amateur I have no idea what it's supposed to sound like but it sounds good to me, so I won't complain.

Okay so the lengthy review about how impressed I was has probably got you wondering why only four stars. I feel a bit petty about it but the color they shipped me is a dark green that is very similar to the coloring in the picture (except dark green of course). Is this bad? No, I like the color I think it looks very cool but when you order a black guitar you should get a black guitar. This is certainly not something to make a bit commotion about it but it certainly is a fly in my ointment.

In the end however if you're looking to buy a starter guitar this one has my full recommendation behind it.

I'm writing this review to help beginners. For those who don't know, a tremelo is a whammy-bar. the first- picture here shows a stringthrough body.(wrong picture-but the rest are correct). So yes it does come with a tremelo.( Thanks for correcting me Trevor) I still would'nt worry too much about a whammy-bar right now, the guitar goes out of tune right after the first couple of dive bombs.I never use it for that very reason. I don't miss it at all. So, heres the meat and potatos- this axe has more than decent pick-ups, it delivers a huge range of tones. It sounds great clean and distorted. This is a great rock guitar and an awsome METAL axe. You name it, and it can do it. You're only limited by your own skill. And this is a very forgiving axe, the neck is not lightning fast, but is still very fast and easy to manipulate. The volume and tone controls get the job done just fine. Also this is a real full-size 24 fret guitar. The Jackson's and Ibanez's in this price range are 22 fret, or short scale guitars. Last but not least make sure you get the guitar (SET-UP) before you play it. The set-up is extremely important, All quality guitar shops will do this for free-just for buying the guitar. So insist on it, or pay a guitar-shop $30-$60 later. The set-up does more than make your guitar sound right, it helps you learn easier- because everything works corectly. So, at the end of the day, I would definately buy another Dean. I hope this review was helpful.

I bought one of these for my girlfriend's son for Xmas a couple years ago. After getting it home and doing a set-up on it, I was so blown away by what a great deal it is, that I've since bought two more Bullets for myself, a surf-green one and a cream-white one.

On some Bullets the fret ends can be a little sharp and need to be sanded or filed down. And all Bullets will need a set-up (adjust the truss rod, set the action, etc). But after that, for a little more than $100, you will have a very good guitar in your hands. If you don't believe me, you can watch videos on youtube that I have posted of me playing stock, unmodified Bullets. Other people have posted videos as well. Just do a youtube search for Squier Bullet.
